The Black Bear skull reveals an omnivore's toolkit: a broad cranium, powerful jaw muscles, and a mix of crushing molars and sharp canines adapted for a diet that ranges from berries to salmon. This miniature replica captures the robust bone structure and distinctive flat facial profile of the original.

Each Skullie begins with a real, ethically sourced skull that is laser-scanned to sub-millimetre precision. The digital model is scaled down to roughly 1:6 and 3D printed in eco-friendly, biodegradable resin. Every piece then goes through a hand-finished wash-and-cure process, which means no two Skullies are exactly alike - subtle variations in the finishing make each one uniquely yours.

Size, scale & materials

Every resin Skullie starts as a laser scan of an ethically sourced original skull. It is printed at roughly 1:6 scale (there is some variation from species to species) in plant-based, biodegradable, non-toxic resin, then hand-painted by local South African artists. Bronze Skullies are cast in solid bronze.

Retail Skullies are palm-sized: small enough for a desk, shelf or dashboard, detailed enough to study up close. Each piece is finished by hand, so expect small variations in colour and texture.

Skullies ship without a stand. The Display Pedestal fits every resin Skullie.

Shipping, delivery & duties

South Africa: R125 door-to-door courier.
Rest of Africa: R500 flat rate.
Everywhere else (USA, UK, Europe, Australia and more): R600 flat rate, tracked.

Import duties (outside South Africa): our prices and shipping do not include import duties, taxes or customs fees. Your country's customs sets these and the courier collects them before delivery. Returns & guarantee

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging. Email orders@skullies.com with your order number and the reason.
