Shipping, Returns & International Import Policy

 

This document governs the shipping, return, and import duty terms for all purchases made from Skullies (skullies.com). By placing an order, you agree to all terms stated in this policy.

 

 

 

1. Shipping & Delivery Terms

 

 

1.1 Fulfillment & Delivery

 

All orders are processed and shipped from South Africa. Delivery timeframes vary by region, courier, and product type. Estimated timelines on our website are guidelines only and not guaranteed.


During promotional events or sales, processing times may be longer due to increased order volume.

 

1.2 Delivery Responsibility

 

You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Skullies is not responsible for failed deliveries due to:

  • Incorrect address information

  • Customer unavailability

  • Inaccessible delivery locations

 

If delivery fails for these reasons, risk and ownership transfer to you at the time delivery was attempted.

 

1.3 Delivery Inspection

 

You may be required to sign for your parcel. Before signing:

  • Inspect the package for visible damage

  • Note any issues with the courier immediately

  • Keep all packaging materials

 

Damage caused during unboxing (e.g., using knives or tools) is not covered.

 

1.4 Cancellation by Skullies

 

Skullies may cancel an order at any time prior to dispatch for reasons including suspected fraud, stock discrepancies, legal restrictions, or logistical limitations. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.

 

 

 

2. Returns Policy

 

2.1 Return Window

 

You may request a return within 30 days from the date the order was delivered.

 

2.2 Eligible Reasons for Return

  • Change of mind / customer preference

  • Faulty or incorrect items

 

2.3 Condition of Returned Goods

 

Items must be:

  • Unused and unaltered

  • In original condition

  • Fit for resale

  • In original packaging with all accessories

 

Items failing these requirements may receive a partial refund or no refund.

 

2.4 Return Procedure

 

To initiate a return:

 

  1. Email us at orders@skullies.com

  2. Provide your full name, order number, and reason for return

  3. Follow the return instructions we provide

 

We recommend using insured, trackable shipping. Skullies is not responsible for lost or damaged return parcels.

 

2.5 Return Shipping Costs

 

Unless the product was defective or incorrect, all shipping costs for returns (to and from our warehouse) are the customer’s responsibility.

 

2.6 Restocking Fee

 

A 30% restocking fee applies to all returned items except those confirmed as faulty at delivery.

 

2.7 Refunds

 

Refunds are processed within up to 14 days after the returned item is received and inspected. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.


Shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees are non-refundable.

 

 

3. International Duties, Taxes & Customs Regulations

 

Skullies ships globally.

However, prices on our website do not include import duties, customs clearance fees, VAT/GST, or other governmental charges imposed by your country.


These charges:

  • Are determined by local customs authorities

  • Are not collected by Skullies

  • Must be paid by the customer before delivery

 

Failure to pay duties may result in the parcel being returned or destroyed by customs. Skullies cannot issue refunds in such cases.

 

 

 

4. De Minimis Thresholds & Import Duty Overview

 

This section provides general guidance only. Actual taxes depend on the product type, customs code, and current law in your country.

 

4.1 United States

  • As of 2025, many products entering the U.S. may no longer qualify for the previous $800 duty-free threshold.

  • Duties vary by category (commonly 0–20%).

  • State sales tax may also be collected at delivery.

 

4.2 European Union

  • VAT applies to all imports, no matter the value.

  • Customs duty applies above €150.

  • Duty rates commonly range from 2%–12%.

 

4.3 United Kingdom

  • VAT (20%) applies to all imports.

  • Duties may apply above £135, depending on classification.

 

4.4 Canada

  • Most imports over CAD $20 are subject to GST/HST and duty.

  • Duty varies by item type.

 

4.5 Australia

  • 10% GST may apply to all imports.

  • Duty applies for orders above AUD $1,000.

 

These values can change at any time. Customers are responsible for verifying their current local import rules.

 

 

5. Refusal of Duties or Customs Fees

 

If a customer refuses to pay import duties or clearance fees:

 

  • The parcel may be returned, abandoned, or destroyed by customs

  • Refunds cannot be issued in such cases

  • Shipping fees cannot be refunded
